We take a more holistic approach and look at the needs of each dog as a whole. Building resilience and confidence for our four legged clients so they know and understand what to expect and giving them a more relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Over recent years the science of emotions in animals has been more widely researched and we are realising
there is a lot more to them than we previously thought. They really are not so different from us with thoughts,
 feelings and emotions.

So how does this relate to grooming?
It quickly became apparent that groomers are in a unique position. We have the dog in our care for up to 2 hours and see all kinds of behaviours from excited, anxious, fearful sometimes just over excitable pups. We see separation anxiety, painful joints on older dogs, skin conditions, puppies dealing with adolescence.
By combining knowledge of grooming, the science of skin care and the science of behaviour can only
give us more understanding of our dogs needs.

I wanted to create a salon dedicated to how dogs see the world. From the sights to the scent, sounds and a fun 'safe zone' full of enrichment toys for your dog to enjoy. With training to help the dog understand what is expected of them. Training workshops are available for owners so they know how to keep their dogs coat in great condition, to teach co operative care and to introduce puppies in a stress free, fun course. I can also offer workshops to groomers who wish to broaden their knowledge in handling and behaviour and how to prevent common issues arising.

It is time we looked at grooming dogs from a new perspective.
